Coffee Tool Steamy Wanda GrindMinder

  • What is a Coffeetool and how do I use it?
(Some of the following steps require a commercial or semi-commercial backflushable espresso machine).
1.Using Coffeetool's on-board detergent spoon, place a spoonful or less of your favorite backflush detergent into a "blind insert"-without holes-in your portafilter handle.
2.Attach the portafilter to the group and start backflushing your machine following the instructions on your detergent package.
3.When its time to flush out the system, run the group and start scrubbing the shower screen and the nooks and crannies of your group with Coffeetool. This is the best time to use Coffeetool as the hot running water helps wash away spent grounds, coffee resins, flavors and odors. The benefit of using coffeetool is apparent at this stage as your hands stay cool and dry.
4.Backflush your machine again, this time with out detergent. and repeat step #3.
5.Use the steam wand vent poker to unclog steam wand vent holes that have become clogged with dried milk residue or other debris from inside your steam wand.
6.Use Coffeetool anytime throughout the day to keep your group clean and your coffee tasting great.

  • What do I do with Steamy Wanda?
Use Steamy Wanda to scrub the insides of your steam wands. Even if you use steam to regularly blow-out milk residue from your steam wand, rust and hard water deposits can accumulate on inner walls. Use Steamy Wanda to regularly clean this accumulation out.
Also, when cleaning your portafilter handles, use Steamy Wanda to scrub the hard to reach spout areas.

  • What is a Grindminder?
Use the Grindminder to sweep up your spilled grounds

  • What is a Barista Multi Function Caffeine Wrench?
Contains 3 different sized wrenches in one; 8 mm, 12mm and 13 mm sizes fits 95% of the steam wand tip sizes. Gasket Probe; used to remove soft gaskets from many different groups. Wand Scraper; gentler and more efficient than a scraper or knife blade for removing milk residue. Ergo Bend; Some group assemblies are held in with a 7mm or 8mm hex bolt. The bend allows for easy access to this area. Basket Pry; makes it easy to "Pop" the basket from your porta filter handle.
