More About Accuflex & Kuriyama Tubing and Hose:
Tubing and Hose is flexible, hollow food grade tube designed to transfer water, juice, beverage and other fluids from one location to another. Hose is usually a Braid Reinforced PVC or Braided lldpe while Tube is usually a Non-Braided PVC or lldpe Poly Tubing although Beverage Tubing is nylon reinforced and is still referred to as tube for example.
The shape of Tubing and Hose is usually cylindrically round. Beverage Tubing and Hose design is based on a combination of application and performance. Common factors are Size, Pressure Rating, Weight, Length, Straight hose or Coilhose, Food Grade and Chemical Compatibility.
Tubing and Hose are made from one or a combination of many different materials mostly LLDPE (polyethylene), PVC, Silicone and others based on the application, environment and pressure rating needed. In recent years, Tubing and Hose can also be manufactured from special grades of polyethylene (LDPE and especially LLDPE). Other hose materials include PTFE (Teflon), stainless steel and other metals.
Tubing and Hose can be used in Water, Juice, Beverage, Beer or other liquid environments or to convey air or other gases.
Beverage Tubing and Hose is typically used with Stainless Steel Stepless Oetiker Clamps, Stainless Steel Hose Clamps and Fittings such as Brass Fittings, Stainless Steel Fittings and John Guest Fittings as well as Brass Ball valves etc. and Brass Needle Valves to control fluid flow.
IPS now offers Stainless Coils too;
304 Stainless Steel Is the most versatile and widely used of stainless steel grades, due to its combination of corrosion resistance, form-ability, and ductility. It is ideal for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical and petrochemical processing applications. Seamless tubing features heavier wall thicknesses for mechanical applications.
316 Stainless Steel provides the best resistance to pitting and corrosion of any of the austenitic (300 series) stainless steels and is best for wine applications. It is extremely ductile, with excellent strength at elevated temperatures. It is ideal for hydraulic and instrumentation tubing in chemical, textile, and pulp and paper industries, and in marine environments. Seamless tubing can be produced with heavier wall thicknesses for mechanical applications. Tubing and Hose
